After a division-winning 2015 campaign, the Minnesota Vikings entered this offseason with some clear needs. Free agency has been a step toward addressing the need for offensive line depth, so the Vikings can target a few specific areas with the No. 23 overall pick in the first round of the draft.
Simply put, the Vikings must land one of these five players with their first-round pick later this month.
5. UCLA LB Myles Jack

Reports have varied about Jack's combine medical re-check on the heels of his knee injury last season, with Dane Brugler of CBS Sports reporting two top 10 teams will avoid him altogether. If he falls significantly, the Vikings could give themselves a trio of UCLA linebackers.
4. Baylor WR Corey Coleman

The Vikings could use a deep threat to loosen up opposing secondaries, and Coleman clearly fits that bill. If he's the best wide receiver available at No. 23, or a bit later if a trade down happens, Coleman might be a very easy pick for general manager Rick Spielman.

A torn ACL ended Joseph's senior season at West Virginia after just four games. But he is on track to be full strength in time for training camp, and ESPN's Mel Kiper has mentioned him as a draft riser as well as a potential mid-to-late first-round pick. So if he checks out health-wise, the Vikings could see Joseph as a perfect fit alongside Harrison Smith.
2. Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell

Treadwell's lack of timed speed has come out as a concern, but everything else about him says No. 1 wide receiver at the next level. If he falls out of the top 20, the Vikings would surely draft him without regret.

I'm continuing to pave the Doctson to the Vikings path in the first round, since his complete skill set is exactly what the team needs at wide receiver. I can also envision a trade up to assure they get him, though that goes against Spielman's typical draft mode of trading down to accumulate picks.
