The Carolina Panthers made a great run to the Super Bowl last year, but if they’re going to get back to the big game and win it, the Panthers need to add a few impact players. Unfortunately, going to the Super Bowl means not drafting until 30th overall, and with that pick, the Panthers need to pick up one of these five players.

The Panthers probably won't go after a skill player in the first round, but it's not a bad idea. Carolina didn't have an overly impressive group of wide receivers last year, and even with Kelvin Benjamin coming back, the Panthers may be looking to add a smaller and quicker receiver like Fuller, who can complement the taller Benjamin.
4. Mackensie Alexander, Cornerback, Clemson

The Panthers are one year away from having almost their entire starting secondary hit the free agent market, so they need to start planning ahead. Alexander isn't the big, physical corner who most teams covet these days, but his man-to-man marking skills are exceptional and he's very much in the mold of current Carolina cornerback Josh Norman.
3. Noah Spence, Defensive End, Eastern Kentucky

There's no such thing as having too many pass rushers, so the Panthers could be looking to take a chance on Spence to add to their defensive line. That position is already a strength for the Panthers, but after experiencing Denver's pass rush first hand in the Super Bowl, perhaps Carolina will be looking to improve its pass rush even more.
2. Taylor Decker, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State

Carolina's weakness at offensive tackle was exposed (and then some) during the Super Bowl. The Panthers have to be looking for help at that position early in the draft. If Decker is available when the Panthers pick 30th overall, it'll be hard for them to pass on him, as he could start right away at either tackle spot.

Clark is likely to be Carolina's fall-back option at the end of the first round. The Panthers already have a strong defensive line, but it never hurts to have depth at that position in order to attack opposing offenses in waves. Even if he doesn't start right away, Clark would add another quality lineman to the Carolina defense.
