For years, the Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the best teams in the AFC and owners of one of the best rosters in football. However, the Bengals have consistently come up short in the playoffs. If that’s going to change, Cincinnati will have to make good use of its first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. To make that happen, the Bengals must leave the first round with one of these five players.

If the Bengals are intent on drafting a wide receiver in the first round, Fuller will be their last resort. He probably doesn't have the upside of a No. 1 receiver, but a capable No. 2 is all the Bengals need as long as they have A.J. Green.

Cornerback is another defensive position the Bengals may choose to address early in the draft. Apple isn't the ideal corner in terms of size, but he has the skills to develop into a starting cornerback in the NFL.
3. Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama

If the Bengals can't get one of their top choices at wide receiver, taking Reed to help their defense may be an option. Cincinnati has been strong on defense due to a stout defensive line, and Reed can ensure that remains the case for years to come.
2. Josh Doctson, WR, TCU

If the Bengals can't land the guy on top of this list, Doctson would be a great Plan B. He's another outstanding talent who could punish teams for giving Green too much attention, taking some of the pressure off Cincinnati's top offensive playmaker.

Coleman may be the ideal choice for the Bengals at No. 24 overall. His speed and athleticism would be a great complement to A.J. Green, further improving the arsenal Andy Dalton has at his disposal in the Cincinnati passing game.
