Dak Prescott Was Once A Dallas Cowboys Fan And Went After Tony Romo On Twitter

Dak Prescott was drafted in the fourth round this year by the Dallas Cowboys, and he is tentatively in line to be Tony Romo‘s heir apparent under center. As a freshman quarterback at Mississippi State in 2012, Prescott went to Twitter with some frustration about his new teammate.

Prescott was of course asked about the tweets last Friday during Dallas’ rookie minicamp, which he shrugged off as “fun” while obviously acknowledging he was a fan when he shared them. It’s much ado about nothing and an attempt to create conflict where there will be none, but these kind of social media things qualify as stories worthy of the media’s time these days.
