Seattle Seahawks DE Michael Bennett Joins The Party In Ripping Sam Bradford

By Twitter

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett is generally not afraid to speak his mind, particularly in terms of his desire for a new contract with the team. The line of people criticizing Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is long by now, but Bennett joined in during an appearance on ‘Brock and Salk’ on ESPN 710 in Seattle.

Bennett also had this to say about Bradford.

“If I was his teammate … How can you play with a guy that doesn’t want to compete at a high level and feels like his position should be solidified without even putting up the stats or the wins to back that up?”

Bennett also went on a bit of a rant last August, and mentioned Bradford by name.

“There’s some mediocre quarterbacks in the NFL that make a lot of money,” Bennett said last August. “You take a guy like Sam Bradford – he’s never played really in the last three years, but he’s made more money than most guys in the NFL.”

Bennett’s own fairly minor contract squabbles surely drove him to go with the money angle in his most recent critique of Bradford. But the broader criticism is nothing new, other than Bennett being an active player and choosing to speak about the former No. 1 overall pick.
