The San Diego Chargers made some very good additions to their roster, but it remains to be seen how these players will produce on the field. New schemes, different coaches and a fresh environment all play huge roles in how an athlete will fare when moving to a new team. Here are five Chargers who will have an impact on the upcoming season.

The Chargers need more speed on offense, and Benjamin can really stretch the field as a true game-breaker. He can ignite the return game and do his part to get the Chargers better field position.
4. Casey Hayward

Hayward is a good addition to the secondary and gives the Chargers another quality cornerback. A team can never have too many corners, and the Chargers have struggled with injuries in the past.
3. Brandon Mebane

Mebane will be expected to be a two-down run stuffer, as well as provide veteran leadership in the locker room. He has been on successful teams and can help a poor run defense improve.
2. Joey Bosa

Expectations will be high for Bosa, but he has the potential to make an instant impact in the league. He has great technique and power, and should compete for postseason rookie honors.

Slauson might be the most important addition, as he can play multiple spots on the line, but will probably start at center. The Chargers have struggled to control the line of scrimmage, and Slauson could be the missing piece.
