The Cleveland Browns have not had a lot of success in recent years, and will look to completely rebuild their roster in the upcoming season. They do have some talent due to all of their high draft picks, but they need players to step up into bigger roles. Here are five players who must prove themselves this season.
5. Joe Haden

Haden had a down year, and more will be expected out of the star cornerback. He is one of the veterans on this young team, and will need to be a positive locker room presence.
4. Cameron Erving

Erving will get every opportunity to start in the interior of the line, and needs to make the most of it. Despite previous talent on the offensive line, the Browns have yet to put together a dominant unit.
3. Danny Shelton

The team used a high draft pick on Shelton, with the hopes that he would help solve their problems against the run. He needs to make a more consistent impact, and play to his potential.
2. Barkevious Mingo

Mingo was once one of the top defensive prospects in the NFL Draft, but has yet to live up to the high expectations. This will likely be his last chance to prove himself in Cleveland.
