Los Angeles NFL Stadium Construction for Chargers & Rams Delayed By Heavy Rainfall

By Anthony Blake

A $2.6 billion stadium being constructed in Inglewood, California to be shared by the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams has been delayed until 2020 thanks to heavy rains in the area.

This means that the Rams will continue to play in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum while the Chargers will play in the 30,000-seat StubHub Center for the next three seasons.

It’s embarrassing on multiple fronts for these teams to be relegated to second-rate facilities after leaving their previous cities due to inferior stadiums.

And now it remains a mystery if the new stadium, which was previously approved to host Super Bowl LV in February 2021, will maintain that status given this year delay in construction.
