Jets Trade Former 1st-Round Pick Calvin Pryor to Browns for Demario Davis

By Anthony Blake

The Calvin Pryor saga with the New York Jets has come to an end, as the former first-rounder was dealt to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for former Jets third-round pick Demario Davis.

After Pryor no-showed at OTAs, a divorce seemed inevitable, and this landing spot makes a ton of sense.

For the Jets, this seems to be addition by subtraction after they selected a pair of safeties with their first two picks in the 2017 NFL Draft.

And for the Browns, this almost guarantees that their second first-round pick in the 2017 class, Jabrill Peppers, will be working at linebacker.

So one team moves on at safety while another rebuilds at linebacker in this deal, but all in all, it seems like both parties should be satisfied.

Consider it a rare win-win trade in the NFL.
