Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. Says He Wants To Be Highest-Paid Player In NFL

By Timothy Downs

The New York Giants have superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. signed to his rookie contract for two more seasons, but that hasn’t stopped his inevitable extension from being one of the main storylines surrounding the team as training camp begins.

During a recent interview with UNINTERRUPTED, the 24-year-old wide out made it known that he wants to be the highest-paid player in the entire NFL, instead of just at his position.

It’s like the elephant in the room, and you don’t want to talk about it.  But I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I’m like, No, I’m going to, there’s no need to not talk about it.

I believe that I will be hopefully not just the highest-paid receiver in the league, but the highest-paid, period.

It’s hard to imagine the Giants not ultimately reworking Beckham’s current deal, but don’t be surprised if there’s quiet a bit of drama between the two sides before it comes to fruition.
