DeShone Kizer Making Case as Cleveland Browns Starting QB in Camp

By Anthony Blake

Perhaps the Cleveland Browns won’t be as bad as anticipated in 2017, as their second-round pick in the NFL Draft, DeShone Kizer, is showing some serious promise under center.

Now granted, his competition on the depth chart isn’t much, but it’s still impressive for a rookie to be outplaying veterans by such a wide margin.

Even the local media is buying into the Kizer hype.

As a team that’s playing for the future rather than the present, getting Kizer some reps to grow behind a much-improved offensive line this coming season will certainly aid his development.

This team already knows what it has in Cody Kessler and Brock Osweiler – i.e. not much – so Kizer should be the choice at QB when the preseason – and regular season, for that matter – begin.
