Hue Jackson Names DeShone Kizer as Cleveland Browns' Starting QB

By Anthony Blake

In a move that was thought to be coming early on in training camp, the Cleveland Browns have named rookie DeShone Kizer as their starting QB for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Head coach Hue Jackson explained the decision in great detail and outlined why the rookie is the man for the job to start the season.

It’s hard to blame the Browns for choosing this route, given that they already know what they have in Cody Kessler and are actively trying to trade Brock Osweiler.

Still, rookies rarely have immediate success in the NFL at any position, let alone quarterback.

There are sure to be some rough patches in Cleveland this season.
