The quickest way to make an enemy out of a sports fan is to try and undermine the success of his or her favorite team.

Take the fans in Foxboro for example, as the New England Patriots‘ faithful gave NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell just the kind of reception you would expect for an adversary on foreign soil.
