Ezekiel Elliott Suspension Lifted By Judge, Cowboys RB Likely to Play All 16 Games

Though his suspension was upheld by the appeals process earlier in the week, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott went through a different channel to find a judge who would grant an injunction on the ban and allow Zeke to play this season.

Well, his wish was granted when federal judge Amos Mazzant granted a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on the NFL‘s suspension, allowing Elliott to most likely play all 16 games in 2017.

This decision at least delays the process for another calendar year, giving the Cowboys access to their workhorse in the backfield for all of the upcoming season.

Yet again the NFL’s hasty punitive overreach allows a player to skate on discipline for the time being.
