The Cowboys expanded their lead to 30-24 with 1:02 left in the game, and the Cowboys’ defense continued to steal paychecks as they failed to get it done needed the most. I know a lot of people like to dump on Romo and talk about his issues under pressure, but this year he has held up his end of the deal for the most part while his defense fails to do anything. Romo leads his offense to 48 points in a game and still loses. What a joke this Cowboys’ defense is.
At the end of the day, the Cowboys fall to 4-4 on the season, and once again it looks like they will be considered average. The Cowboys really had an opportunity to separate themselves from the rest of their rivals in the NFC East, but it looks like they will be headed for a 9-7 or 10-6 record to finish the season.
Since 1997, the Cowboys have a record of 132-132, with one playoff win. That is about as average as you can get.
The fact of the matter is, this madness needs to stop. It is really annoying nowadays hearing about when the Cowboys will make the next step and move up into the conversation with the elite teams in the league all over social media. That talk needs to stop until they actually show it on the field.
In order for the Cowboys to go where they want to go, they have to get things right emotionally. You can’t have outbursts like the one Dez Bryant had today. It’s a sign of inconsistency and a lack of awareness in the moment. It’s almost like players on the Cowboys get too nervous when things get close. They need to get over that because they have failed so many times to the point where those issues should be numb for them.
