Sedin Brothers can Make NHL History

By Jeff Zeffer

Last season Henrik Sedin won the Hart Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy by recording 29 goals, 83 assist for 112 points. With this season that Henrik’s slightly younger brother is having, Daniel Sedin could be in line for winning the Hart and Art Ross trophies this season. Right now Daniel has 32G 47A for 79 points. Not to mention that Henrik is right behind with 74 points and in 4th place in the scoring race. So if Daniel continues his pace he could make it the first time in NHL history that brothers would win the Hart or Art Ross trophies back to back. Good luck Staal’s in conquering that challenge. This won’t be an easy challenge for Daniel even with Sidney Crosby being out for quite some time. But Daniel’s challengers are Steven Stamkos, Martin St. Louis, and Henrik Zetterberg.

Would I like to see this happened? Well yes I very much would like Daniel to win the Hart and Art Ross. Not because I am a Canucks fan, because I’m not. But I think this would make a really great story that would be remember for decades and decades. Two twin brother win some serious NHL hardware back to back. Lastly I would not be surprise that some of the Canucks are purposely making sure that Daniel gets and assist or empty net goal whenever he can. Although the Sedin’s eyes are more focused on sharing a bigger trophy together.
