Predators Fall Short At Home

The Predators Colin Wilson races the Kings Rob Scuderi for a loose puck.

The Nashville Predators couldn’t muster enough of a comeback to overcome the two second period goals by the Los Angles Kings.

Although the Predators were able to get a goal with just over 7 minutes left from JP Dumont, they were not able to tie the game. Dustin Brown’s empty net goal sealed Nashville’s fate.

Rookie John Blum scored his second NHL goal in the first period.  Anze Kopitar, Alec Martinez, and Wayne Simmons were the other goals scorers for L.A

The loss holds Nashville in ninth in the western conference, one point behind the eighth place Calgary Flames, who also lost last night to the Phoenix Coyotes in a nail-biter.

The Predators are at home Thursday in an important match up with the Boston Bruins. The Bruins are third place in the Eastern Conference, and are 6-2-2 in their last ten games.

Puck drops at 7:00 pm.
