Bruins welcome Blackhawks to TD Garden
Fresh of a playoff-clinching win in Philadelphia, the Bruins (42-23-10, 94 pts) host the Chicago Blackhawks (41-26-8, 90 pts) on national television (7:30 p.m., Vs./98.5 local radio).
The Blackhawks are currently sitting in eighth place in the Western Conference playoff picture, three points up on Calgary and only three points behind the Phoenix Coyotes, who sit in fourth place, the final home-ice slot. Anaheim, Nashville and Los Angeles sit in between. It’s a tight crowd, and Chicago wants to separate themselves.
Meanwhile, Boston is looking to keep the forward momentum rolling tonight, so expect few changes to the lineup. One to look out for is Tuukka Rask. Boston seems to be wanting to give Tim Thomas some rest, especially now that their seat in the playoffs is set and they have some separation from Montreal in the Northeast Division. John Bishop reported on the Bruins’ official twitter feed this morning that Rask was out on the ice for an optional skate.
So, with that, here’s what tonight’s lineup could look like:
17 Lucic … 46 Krejci … 18 Horton
63 Marchand … 37 Bergeron … 28 Recchi
49 Peverley … 23 Kelly … 19 Seguin
20 Paille … 11 Campbell … 22 Thornton
33 Chara … 55 Boychuck
44 Seidenberg … 12 Kaberle
21 Ference … 54 McQuaid
