Hart Finalists announced: Corey Perry among them
Earlier today the NHL announced the three finalists for the Hart trophy, and Ducks forward Corey Perry was among them. The other nominees are Daniel Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks, and Marty St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In case you don’t know, the Hart trophy is awarded to the league’s most valuable player.
Corey Perry led the league in goals with 50 during the regular season, and finished third in points with 98, only behind St. Louis (99) and Daniel Sedin (104); however, the reason I believe Perry will win the award is that he was tied for first in the NHL with 11 game-winning-goals, and played in every situation every night for the Ducks.
With all that being said, Marty St. Louis and Daniel Sedin both had exceptional seasons as well, so I wouldn’t be shocked if one of them won the award.
