Mike Fisher Season Review
Mike Fisher got quite a surprise when he was traded to his hometown, and where his new wife, Carrie Underwood was residing. The Predators got a grinder, and an aggressive forward who proved to be pivotal in the Preds success into the playoffs.
Fisher was 7th in scoring on the Predators going into the playoffs, partially because he played previously on the lowly Ottawa Senators, but he rolled in the physical playoffs and finished 3rd in team scoring.
More than that he played a fantastic defensive playoff, being forced to shut down the top line of both the Anaheim Ducks, and the Vancouver Canucks.
Fisher’s effort proves the type of player he is can mesh with any system in the NHL, and will help Nashville immensely during the years to come.
