Pittsburgh Penguins Re-sign F Craig Adams

By Troy Pfaff

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the re-signing of pending free agent forward Craig Adams.

Adams, 34, has been with the team since being claimed off waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks in 2009. The gritty forward has recorded four goals and 26 points in 171 regular season games with Pittsburgh, as well as six goals and nine points in 44 playoff games.

The deal reportedly spans two years and is worth $675k per year.

Getting a deal done with Adams was considered one of the Penguins’ top priorities this offseason.

A good signing for Pittsburgh, who retain a good fit for their system and one of the team’s better penalty killers at a good price.
