James Reimer signs a 3 year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs

By Jeff Zeffer

The Toronto Maple Leafs has now committed 3 more years to 23 year old James Reimer after Brian Burke signed him on Thursday. This 3 year deal is worth $5.4 million dollar. Reimer earned every cent of that new contract as Reimer has worked extremely hard to get where he is every since he started playing hockey at the age of 12. This raise that Reimer earned was because of his stellar rookie campaign that paid him about $600,000. Reimer lead the Maple Leafs to a strong 85 point finish. Reimer is expected to be the team’s number one goaltender coming this September.

In James Reimer’s rookie season got him 20 wins in 37 appearances, a 2.60 GAA and a .921 SV% with 3 shutouts.

Reimer also earned a starting spot on Team Canada for the IIHF World Hockey Championship.

Looking forward to watching you play in September Reimer.
