The Los Angeles Kings preseason schedule will feature games in Kansas City, Mo. and Las Vegas.
They will host the Pittsburgh Penguins Sept. 27 at KC’s Sprint Center. (The arena is operated by AEG.)
The Kings have played there frequently in the past.

The Kings will play in Las Vegas Oct. 1 for their 13th annual Frozen Fury exhibition. (This will be the 14th Frozen Fury game as two were played in 1998.)
They first played in Vegas Sept. 27, 1991, beating the New York Rangers 5-2.
That was the first outdoor NHL exhibition game.
It was held outside Caesars Palace and featured weather in the mid-80s and a crowd of around 13,000.
Frozen Fury began Sept. 20, 1997 with the Kings beating the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in overtime.
Last year, L.A. beat Colorado 5-3 on Sept. 26.
Only two Frozen Fury games have not come against the Avalanche.
The Kings beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-0 Sept. 11, 1999 and the San Jose Sharks 4-3 Sept. 22, 2001.
The Kings’ overall record in Frozen Fury play is 9-2-2.
