Led by no. 1 draft pick Dougie Hamilton, the Bruins announced their roster for their rookie development camp today, which will be held at Ristuccia Memorial Arena in Wilmington from July 7 to 11.
New Providence Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy, brought in to replace the outgoing Rob Murray, will lead on-ice practices, and all on-ice practices are open to the public.
Here’s who the team will be bringing to camp:
Forwards: Anthony Camara, Craig Cunningham, Alexander Fallstrom, Brian Ferlin, Justin Florek, Josh Jooris, Jared Knight, Alexander Khokhlachev, Brett Olson, Tyler Randell, Eric Robinson, Ben Sexton, Ryan Spooner
Defensemen: Hamilton, Ryan Button, Marc Cantin, Tommy Cross, Robby O’Gara, Steven Spinell, Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky
Goaltenders: Zane Gothberg, Mike Hutchinson, Lars Volden
Among these names, center Spooner and goalie Hutchinson had excellent showings in rookie camps and games last season, and could make appearances with the big club as the season goes on, depending on injuries and availability.
Of course, the jewel of the bunch will be Hamilton, the 6’4″ defenseman with the skating ability of a smaller player who was a steal at the no. 9 slot in last Friday’s draft.
