Phoenix Coyotes add John Anderson as Assistant Coach
It was announced today that John Anderson will be added to the Phoenix Coyotes coaching staff next season as an assistant coach.
Anderson, who signed a multi-year deal, will be joining Dave Tippett’s staff after spending 13 seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers organization. He was the head coach in Atlanta the past two seasons and won 70 games.
As a coach, Anderson has won championships. He last won a championship with the AHL Chicago Wolves.
Anderson also played 814 games in the NHL. He had 5 30-goal seasons and was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Coyotes hope Anderson can bring a fresh outlook to the coaching staff that has already turned this team into a playoff contender.
