Brooks Orpik Undergoes Successful Surgery
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik underwent successful abdominal/hernia surgery today, according to the team website.
Orpik’s rehab period is expected to be between six and eight weeks. With training camp set to begin in mid September, Orpik may miss some of it, but is fully expected to be ready for the start of the season.
This is the second consecutive season Orpik has undergone this surgery.
