Devils Avoid Arbitration with D Fraser
The New Jersey Devils avoided arbitration with restricted free agent D Mark Fraser, signing him to a one-year deal worth $550,000. By inking Fraser to a deal the team avoids the August, 4 arbitration hearing.
The 23 year old was a third round draft choice of the Devils in 2005. His size ( 6’3 220 lbs) and good work ethic made him a mainstain in New Jersey the past two seasons. In 94 career games, Fraser has racked up 72 penalty minutes and just 8 points. (3g 5a)
Not exactly the RFA fans had hope would be signed but we’ll take it. Baby steps folks, baby steps.
