Dallas has to improve their defense and penalty killing.  This team is surprisingly performing well on offense even without Brad Richards.  Dallas may able to get to the first round if the defense can improve.  Its too early to tell how far this Dallas Stars team will go, but things look very promising at this moment.

Its apparent that the Dallas Stars made the right hire when hiring Glen Gulutzan to be the teams next head coach.  Gulutzan previously served as the AHL head coach of the Texas Stars.  The Texas Stars are the AHL partner of the Dallas Stars.
