The Dallas Stars have decided that Jack Campbell will return for year 2 with the Windsor Spitfires. This really isn’t news Campbell was supposed to return to Windsor. Jack Campbell really performed well succeeding for the Windsor Spitfires in his 2011-2012 OHL regular season debut debut by holding the Sarnia Sting to a goose egg. In Campbell’s first game with Windsor he recorded a mind boggling 28 for 28 saves.
Campbell went up against top 5 picks Nail Yakupov and Alex Galchenyuk.
After winning back to back Memorial Cups the Windsor Spitfires fell to the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL Conference Finals.
Windsor could win a 3rd OHL title in 4 years if Jack Campbell performs well. Whether Campbell can carry Windsor to another memorial cup is another question that remains to be seen. One thing for certain is that Campbell looked very promising in Windsor’s win over Sarnia.
