Colorado Avalanche Defeat Dallas Stars 3 to 0.
On Sunday the Dallas Stars suffered their first preseason loss. Colorado managed to shutout Dallas. The Avalanche also managed to gain momentum of this game from the very beginning.
Midway through the first period Ryan Stoa set the tempo for the Colorado Avalanche with a power play goal. It looks like the Dallas Stars penalty killing did not improve from last year. In fact it may have gotten worse which does not bode well for the Dallas Stars considering the fact that Dallas lost Brad Richards.
In the 2nd period the Colorado Avalanche got a pair of goals. Ryan O Reilly scored both goals for the Colorado Avalanche. This put Colorado up 3-0 and gave the Avalanche the win.
Colorado outshot Dallas 31 to 16 in shots on goal. Tonight the Dallas Stars will play the Florida Panthers hoping to rebound from their dreadful loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
