Fast Facts Update for Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche have now played 2 games. The first against the Detroit Red Wings were they lost 3-0, 2 goals got past Varly and the 3rd was on an open net. The second against Stanley Cup Champions Boston Bruins were Milan Hejduk got the first goal of the season and Varly got his 5th career shut out with a final score of 1-0.

As far as the captain situation goes, Sacco announced they will be rotating a third “A” around to see who will earn the title of captain. During the first game that “A” was warn by Eric Johnson. The second game it was Cody McLeod.

Off the ice, Kyle Cumiskey is put on a waiver Friday which he clears and is traded Saturday to the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Jake Newton and a conditional draft pick. Newton was sent immediately to Lake Erie Monsters.

Tomorrow is the third game against Blue Jackets. This will not be televised but can be found on radio.
