1st Period Summary

2nd Period Summary
Columbus would take a 2 to 1 lead before Eriksson would shoot a wrist shot which would tie the game at 2. That goal would go on to be Eriksson’s 2nd goal of the night. Dallas outshooting Columbus 22 to 10 in the 2nd period.
3rd Period Summary
Sheldon Souray got the go ahead goal for Dallas in the 3rd period with Michael Ryder getting the power play goal which would put the game away. Dallas wins 4 to 2 getting off to an early 8 point start.
Dallas limited Columbus to 1 for 5 when penalty killing. The Stars outshot Columbus 33 to 15 which is probably the main reason why Dallas won. For the first time this season a team managed to outhit Dallas. Columbus outhit Dallas 27 to 26 in the hits department last night.
