New York Rangers-Vancouver Canucks Game Preview

The New York Rangers have not been off to a hot start with a record of 0-1-2, but they will look to turn that around tonight against the reigning Western Conference Champion Vancouver Canucks.

Penalties have plagued the Rangers through their first three contest as they average more PIM per game than any other team in the league with 20.7.  ”We have to be more disciplined out there,” forward Marian Gaborik said.

Some have speculated that the trip to Europe has taken it’s toll on the Rangers, but coach John Tortorella will not listen to any of it.  ”Don’t go there. There’s no excuses here. We lost a hockey game. That team played better than us,” Tortorella said. “They were more disciplined than us. I don’t want to hear about Europe. I don’t want to hear is it a penalty or not a penalty. We’re not disciplined enough and Europe has nothing to do with tonight’s game.”
