Avalanche prep for second home game

By amevessa

The Avalanche took Tuesday off after their 5 game road trip and came back to the ice Wednesday to prep for the game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The road trip was a huge success winning all 5 games making it the first in franchise history. Now they come back home for the second game of the season on home ice and looking for that first home win. Can they keep up to momentum from the road trip?

After today’s practice, it’s looking like Varlamov will be in net and the line ups/pairings will stay the same. Peter Muller is still out even though he has been cleared to play and Lindstrom will be taking his spot on the first line with Hejduk and Duchene.

When talking to Adrian Dater of the Denver Post after Wednesday’s practice, Muller was quoted saying: “Feeling great. Just, you know, getting everything back in the loop and waiting for my time to (get the) call.”

No official reasoning has been given for why Muller is out for 4 games.
