Max Pacioretty Hurt in Habs 2-1 Loss to the Panthers

By Jeff Zeffer

The Montreal Canadiens continue their historic slump of the season after losing 2-1 to the Florida Panthers at the Bell Center last night.

The Habs record stands at 1-5-2, with zero wins at home and the news is not getting any better for the team. As in last night’s game, forward Max Pacioretty left after the second period with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Pacioretty will see a doctor today, but is currently listed at day-to-day. Max Pacioretty has gotten off to a very good start this season scoring 2 goals and 4 assist in 8 games.

To sour the Habs fan day a little more. Their next three games just got harder when the Philadelphia Flyers come to the Bell Center on Wednesday. Then the Habs have a back to back match up against the Boston Bruins on Thursday and Saturday.

The one positive note that I should say is that Habs forward Erik Cole scored his first goal as a member of the Canadiens after signing a wealthy 4 year $18 million contract during the off-season.
