GAME PREVIEW – Bruins @ Sabres (Wednesday, November 23, 2011)

By johnmiller

Expect a charged atmosphere in the First Niagara Center tonight. Not only do the Buffalo Sabres (12-8-0) need to defeat the defending world champion Boston Bruins (12-7-0), they need to take care of some unfinished business. Last time these teams played in Boston the Bruins beat up on the Sabres in more ways than one.

Not only did the Bruins wallop the Sabres 6-2 on the scoreboard, Milan Lucic took out Sabres star goaltender who has not played since. The Sabres were widely criticized in hockey circles for not sticking up for their teammate on the ice. It would be surprising if the Sabres didn’t seek some sort of revenge on Wednesday night.

For the Sabres, Jochen Hecht, Tyler Ennis, Mike Weber, Tyler Myers and Ryan Miller are all out indefinitely. Cody McCormick is day-to-day for Buffalo.

Jhonas Enroth is expected to start in goal again for the Sabres. Tim Thomas is expected to draw the start between the pipes for the Bruins.
