Dallas Stars Injury Report
Goalie Kari Lehtonen is out for a while. This injury report will track the progress of inactive players on the Dallas Stars roster.
Every Saturday I will list an injury report update for the Dallas Stars. This will allow Stars followers to keep track of progress on their favorite players.
Trevor Daley Defenseman Dallas Stars Daley has a back injury. Daley could have returned for tonights game against the Islanders. At this point that speculation appears doubtful as Daley will be out for a few more days.
After tonights contest VS The New York Islanders, the Stars begin a 4 game road trip and do not return home until December 19th against the Anaheim Ducks. Daley could be back on the ice as early as Thursday December 8, 2011. Daley should recover by the December 13th contest against the New York Rangers in the event of a worst case scenario.
Kari Lehtonen Goalie Dallas Stars Lehtonen will be out for at least 3 more weeks with a groin injury. Injury progress with Lehtonen is going better than expected though.
Lehtonen could be back as early as December 19th. I expect Lehtonen to make his return against the Nashville Predators in a home contest on Friday December 23rd. Lehtonen’s return to the net on the 23rd would be an awesome early Christmas present for the Stars organization.
Brenden Morrow Left Wing Dallas Stars Some people are speculating an early return for Morrow. I disagree here. Morrow has a severe Upper Body injury.
Morrow recently received an injection in his back. Its obvious that Dallas is trying to rush this injury given the fact that the Stars are depleted right now.
The Dallas Stars face the Columbus Blue Jackets on December 29th. That would be the earliest I would play Morrow. This upper body injury needs to be treated properly with the proper rest, rehab, and conditioning.
I get the impression that Dallas wants Morrow back very soon though. Do not be surprised if Morrow returns before the 29th though because Dallas looks like their trying to rush this injury recovery.
Adam Burish Right Wing Dallas Stars No timeframe for Burish’s injury recovery has been given. Burish was placed on Injured Reserve. I’ll post an injury watch update on Adam Burish if no announcement is made soon.
Alex Goligoski Defenseman Dallas Stars Goligoski had his cast removed yesterday. Now Goligoski enters the recovery process of his injury. If things go smoothly then Alex Goligoski could suit up against the Los Angles Kings next Saturday at the Staples Center.
Next week’s Dallas Stars injury report will update you on Goligoski’s status for the Kings game along with what the timeframe for Adam Burish’s injury status is.
