Buffalo Sabres Third Star of 2011: Jhonas Enroth
When Ryan Miller started plain out being awful in the beginning of the season, Jhonas Enroth was more than willingly and capable to take over the role of starting goaltender., which created a goalie controversy of sorts. In addition, when Ryan Miller missed games due to a concussion, courtesy of Boston Bruins Milan Lucic, Enroth stepped in and played amazing for the Sabres.
He has posted a .918 save percentage and a 2.54 GAA, both better than his career averages in the NHL.
He has kept the Sabres in some games that they did not belong in, but he also has blown some games. Even with that, with the way that these Buffalo Sabres have been playing, I award the Third Star of 2011 to jhonas Enroth.
