Buffalo Sabres Second Star of 2011: Zack Kassian
Zack Kassian was not even supposed to be a Buffalo Sabre at the beginning of the year, let alone be one of the top three players.
The Rochester American was called up on 25 NOV 2011 and played his first game in Columbus. Since then, Kassian has shown a work ethic and value to this team and shows that he wants to earn his spot and stay on this team for the rest of the season.
He embodies a work ethic that the rest of the team, especially Derek Roy and Drew Stafford should aspire to become. He is willing to defend his teammates, can win fights, and plays like he wants to be there.
For this, in a season of gloom and despair, he receives my second star of the Buffalo Sabres in 2012, and, if this keeps up, is well on his way to earning another star for 2012.
