The Vancouver Canucks will play their first game of 2012, welcoming the San Jose Sharks into Rogers Arena on Monday night. The Sharks final game of 2011 was a 3-2 in overtime to the Vancouver Canucks in San Jose. Andrew Ebbett scored the game winner in that game. For the Canucks, they went 2-1 on their 3-game California road trip. They beat the Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks, then losing to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. This will be the Sharks 1st visit to Rogers Arena since losing to the Canucks 3-2 in overtime in Game 5. I’m pretty sure the Sharks haven’t forgotten Kevin Bieksa’s goal in overtime to get the Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals last year. For my prediction, I think the Canucks will start 2012 season on a good note with a 4-2 win.
