The Boston Bruins finish off the Florida Panthers in a shootout.

By Zach Litchfield

The Bruins came off their loss Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes with win over a pretty good and rising Florida Panthers team.  They came out good and got ahead but really struggled on the defensive side late in the game which led to the Panthers to tie it up near the end of the third period.

The Bruins penalty kill got it done in overtime to force the game to a shootout.

Tuukka Rask was in net and made the first two saves but let in the third one making the whole game ride on Patrice Bergeron’s attempt.  The good thing for the team is that Bergeron is one of those forwards that gets it done when it all counts on him.  He put his shot exactly where it needed to go.  The back of the net.

Tuukka made the save in the fourth round of the shootout and gave David Krejci the opportunity to win the game.  He capitalized on that opportunity and put it in the five-hole and the Bruins won the second game of the four game road trip.  Now its on to the Tampa Bay Lightning against their struggling defense.
