Following an entertaining NHL All-Star weekend, the focus has now been turned to all the rumours that will be surfacing from now until the NHL Trade deadline on February 27th.
This first rumours is a juicy one, as the Columbus Blue Jackets are allegedly in talks with the Brian Burke and the Toronto Maple Leafs, that involves star Rick Nash being sent to the Maple Leafs. The alleged trade also has veteran Kristian Huselius heading to Toronto, in exchange for Mikhail Grabovski, Luke Schenn, Nazem Kadri and Mike Komisarek.
Here is one to smoke on.Please do not inhale .From CBJ,Nash & Huselius,From TORGrabovski, Schenn, Kadri and Komisarek.1st time Nash involved

Looking at the salary cap issues that come with such as deal; Nash carries a $7.8 million cap hit until 2017-18 season. While Huselius, who is in his last year of his contract, has a $4.75 million cap hit. The combined total of these salaries are $12.55 million.
As for the Maple Leafs side, Grabovski carries a $2.9 million cap hit and will be a UFA at seasons end. While Schenn signed a 5 year contract last summer, which includes a $3.6 million annual cap hit. Kadri will have one more season on his entry level deal with a $1.72 million cap hit. Lastly Komisarek has a $4.5 million cap hit for the next 2 years. The total annual salaries are $12.72 million. Therefore salaries in this suspected trade match up evenly.
Now do keep in mind that this trade is just rumour that surfaced on twitter. There is no sufficient evidence that any talks or agreement has been made between the Maple Leafs and Blue Jackets.
Darren Dreger from TSN shot down the rumour around lunch time today on twitter.
A couple of sketchy trade rumours out there. Can tell you the Leafs, according to Burke have never discussed Nash trade…”Ever.”
