Maybe it is Time for Peter Laviolette to Shake Up the Lines for the Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers have been struggling as of late with a 2-2-3 record in there last seven. Coach Peter Laviolette has no problem juggling goalies, but now I think it might be time to shake up the lines.

These are the current lines:

1. Scott Hartnell - Claude Giroux - Jaromir Jagr

2. Brayden Schenn - Danny Briere - Wayne Simmonds

3. Matt Read - Max Talbot - Jakub Voracek

4. Zac Rinaldo - Sean Couturier - Tom Sestito

I’m not going to mention the defensive pairings because I don’t think there is much to do there.  That is not the say the defense is playing great.

These are the lines I would like to to see for the Flyers:

1. Read – Giroux – Jagr

2. Hartnell – Briere – Simmonds

3. Schenn – Couturier – Voracek

4. Rinaldo – Talbot – Sestito

My line combos are based on the current roster, no call ups or send downs.

Read has had a good rookie year and I think his speed would great on the first line and that naturally bumps Hartnell and Schenn down a line.  I think Read could work well with G and Jagr and continue to put up points.

I moved Couturier up because I know he is a rookie, but I value him over Talbot.  Coots is on his way up and you will get the chance to better evaluate him on the third line and Talbot fits in better on a line with Rinaldo and Sestito.

If you guys could change the lines what would your combos be?  Leave me a comment and let me know.
