Staal Returns to Penguins Lineup on Saturday
Dan Bylsma just confirmed that Jordan Staal will return to the lineup tomorrow afternoon against the Winnipeg Jets.
He had this to say when asked about returning to the lineup, according to PittsburghPenguins.com:
I’m feeling really good. The last couple days it was great just to get a couple practices with the team and kind of get back into the timing and everything. Things are looking up.
Staal suffered a knee injury last month after colliding with Mike Rupp during a game against the New York Rangers on January 6th. His rehab has been about the typical 4-6 weeks which is a significant amount of time to be without a core player, so it will be great to see him back on the ice tomorrow.
Also as a note, for those of you who live near Pittsburgh, Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland will be at the Leetsdale Giant Eagle later today (5 PM – 6:30 PM) to sign autographs. For more information, visit the Sewickley Patch.
