Keith Ballard out for the rest of the regular season
The Vancouver Canucks have announced that Keith Ballard will be out for the rest of the regular season due to having concussion symptoms. The Canucks would then put Ballard on the long-term injured reserve list. Ballard has been out since Feb. 7. That means the Canucks would create $4.2m worth of cap space. The Canucks are rumored to be making a run to acquire Steve Ott from the Dallas Stars if the price is right. The Canucks could also acquire a defensemen since the Canucks biggest need right now is toughness and D-Men.
