Video: Sami Lepisto Saves A Goal Vs. Maple Leafs

By Randy Holt

I’ll admit it. I’m a fan of Sami Lepisto.

While Joel Quenneville obviously doesn’t share the same sentiment, as Lepisto has spent much of the season as a healthy scratch night after night.

But injuries have forced Lepisto into the lineup, and he’s actually played pretty well with the time he’s had recently. He’s proving to be a nice third pairing defenseman, for a very low price.

Against the Maple Leafs, Lepisto might have just saved the game. With the Hawks up 4-3, Ray Emery was still down after making a save, leaving most of the net open. As Matt Frattin tried to put it past Emery, a stickless Lepisto made the save. Check it out.
