Bogosian out again
Zach Bogosian re-aggravated his wrist injury that kept him out of the Jets lineup for 7 consecutive games before the Florida game Thursday night. It has been reported that he left practice early on Saturday and it’s unclear what exactly caused him to hurt it again, but Coach Noel said it happened in Thursday’s game. He’s likely to be out for a week, meaning he won’t play in Vancouver or Calgary, but could possibly return for Dallas’ visit to the MTS Centre on March 14.
This means the Winnipeg squad battling for their playoff lives will have to once again collectively step up on the back end. The Jets struggled, especially on the PK with Bogosian out.
However, we will get to see Grant Clitsome make his Jets debut tonight against Buffalo. Clitsome probably won’t help much on the penalty kill, but he can handle significant minutes and will take the pressure off of Byfuglien, Hainsey, Stuart and Enstrom at even strength and could see some PP time. Look for #24 to be paired with Ron Hainsey.
