Video: Capitals’ Marcus Johansson Misses Wide Open Net
Have you ever heard the expression, “If it was a snake it would have bit me?” Marcus Johansson of the Washington Capitals knows all too well the meaning of the expression after having found himself all alone in front of a wide open net with the puck on his stick.
As it turns out Johansson was snake bitten when he was unable to bury the golden opportunity. Instead the puck weakly rolled off his blade, across the crease and just wide of the goalmouth.
Fortunately for Johansson and the Capitals they won the game 2-0, otherwise the epic fail would have gone down as one of the all-time “whoops” moments in sports history.
