Chris Higgins lead Vancouver Canucks comeback over Colorado Avalanche

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in overtime tonight. The Canucks were down 2-0 after the 1st period but Chris Higgins lead the Canucks comeback with 2 goals, including the overtime game winning goal. Jannik Hansen helped on the game winning goal by checking Tyson Barrie, getting the puck and setting up Higgins for the goal. Mason Raymond also scored for the Canucks and Kevin Bieksa got 2 assists. For the Avalanche, Gabriel Landeskog and Jamie McGinn scored for the Avalanche. The Avs outshot the Canucks 40-32. The Canucks are 5-0 against the Avalanche this season and the Canucks clinched the Northwest Division because the Calgary Flames lost to the Dallas Stars 4-1. The Avalanche’s playoff hopes are barely alive since they have a season low 5 games remaining. The Canucks went 2-2 on the road trip and will now return home for a 5 game home stand starting on Monday against the Los Angeles Kings.
