Have you every had one of those moments where you just can’t stop laughing? The Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators found themselves in that exact predicament during both the United States and Canadian national anthem prior to their game on Saturday.
The poofy-haired anthem singer belted out two very unique versions of each anthem, causing several players on both benches to snicker like school girls. The singer wasn’t terrible….she was just different.
As the camera panned across the benches, the players did their best to try and hide the giggles – without much luck. My favorite part was the look on Sidney Crosby’s face as he attempted to keep his composure. It was one of those lighter moments in sports and definitely something you don’t see every day.
Ottawa won the game 8-4 but at least a good time was had by all.
